The matte shades are great for evening out skin tone and providing a base for eyeshadow application. Warm and creamy matte beige Layin’ Low is like Soft Brown’screamy shadow cousin, and if you like warm browns like MAC Saddle, Texture, Swiss Chocolate (and others), it’s an absolute must. To use as a primer, apply a thin, even layer to clean lids with a finger or brush. Overall, I love the color payoff and opacity. This is perfect for quick makeup days because you can just apply this shade, a little eyeliner and mascara, and your eye look is complete. I really like this color but I feel like I would use it more on its own as opposed to as a base due to its satin finish. Groundwork is a medium, dusty brown with a satin finish. I prefer to lay it over a nice eyeshadow primer so that eyeshadow holds on very well to the skin. This can even be worn alone for a fresh face, no-makeup makeup look. MAC Paint pots are one of the most consistent products in my bridal as well as blog kit. A long-wearing, blendable eye primer and/or cream shadow that can be worn alone or with other products and lasts. It won’t make your shadows pop as much as a lighter shade does but it evens out the eyelid provides a more neutral base for eyeshadow application. It isnt my favourite eye primer, as this slightly peachy neutral colour doesnt. I feel like this shade doesn’t get a lot of love but it’s a much better match for me than Painterly.
